Arsenal’s visit to Dubai ends on high style


After a successful training that ended with a friendly match with Al Nasr Sports club on Tuesday night in Dubai, Arsenal group went back to London on a high style.

The match officially opened the newly renovated Al Maktourm statdium where the gunners got a chance to visit the Dubai’s newest landmarks.

The team had travelled to Dubai last week using the newly branded Emirates A380 with a livery featuring a montage of Arsenal first team players. They used the same aircraft on the return journey to London.

The visit was the first in Emirates history that the whole squad visited the airnline’s Dubai homes. There was a historical connection with the fans in UAE throughout the period.

Arsenal’s first team players Mesut Ozil, Bernd Leno, Ainsley Maitland – Niles and Shkodran Mustafi , on Saturday toured the city’s latest attractions including the Dudai Frame observatory deck, on a hop on hop bus. They took in beautiful views of Dubai from the 150-meter high frame shaped structure.

Emirates and Arsenal have had the longest relationship in the Premier League. Emirates’ branding has been on the team’s jersey since 2006. Emirates will continue to work on linking local clubs to help bring UAE football to the international stage.
